TRIAD Triple Threat is APU's three-pillar leadership pathway for student veterans and military-connected students. Structure you recognize, a community that has your back, and a designation you earn.

If college has felt off since you got out, you are not imagining it. Most campuses run events. You need a system.
Military life is high-structure, high-purpose, and high-accountability. Campus life is none of those things. The gap is disorienting, and it is not a personal failure.
Many student veterans never make real contact with their campus veteran center. Without a structured reason to connect, most never do. TRIAD is that reason.
Nearly half of student veterans never finish their degree. Not from lack of ability, but from the lack of an accountability framework that mirrors what you already know.
Online, commuter, and transfer students are cut off from community before they get a chance to build one. The Bridge closes that distance.
You are among the most capable leaders on this campus. TRIAD is the formal program that recognizes, develops, and credentials it.
The resources exist, but nobody hands you the checklist. TRIAD turns campus life into clear, trackable milestones with a mentor alongside you.
TRIAD wasn't designed in a boardroom. It was built by a student veteran who lived the gap and mapped a military accountability model onto campus life.
Three pillars: Academic, Community, Leadership. The same accountability framework you already know from service.
Your TRIAD portal tracks every milestone, and The Bridge community connects you with vets who get it. Both from day one.
Complete all three pillars, hold a 2.5 GPA, and pass the Final Review Board. It means something because you earned it.
Every milestone is documented and verified in your portal. Ready for grad school applications, resumes, and interviews.
Three Pillars
Every TRIAD member gets both platforms, fully set up before your first semester in the program.
Create your account in the TRIAD portal. It takes about two minutes, or stop by the MVS and we will do it with you.
Watch the short orientation series on The Bridge, meet your mentor, and get your TQS booklet.
Log milestones across the Academic, Community, and SVA pillars at your own pace. Academics always come first.
Complete all three pillars, hold a 2.5 GPA, pass the Final Review Board, and get recognized at the ceremony.
Applying takes two minutes. Prefer to talk to a human first? Come find us in the Military and Veterans Success Center and we will walk you through it.
